Closest to my age
Most attainable, practical
Cuter than school boys

I'm responding in haiku form to Mel and Michelle's second Ketchup with us prompt:
Tell us in 57 words or less about your biggest celebrity crush from childhood.
I look back now and laugh at my reasoning.
If I met NKOTB, Joey would have been the only one young enough for me to date.
As if that would have been the only obstacle to my hooking up with him.
Love your reasoning. It makes perfect sense. Jordan was my favorite. Now I'm singing "The Right Stuff!"
ReplyDeleteMy twin was into Donnie and I did not see the appeal, but now that he's all grown up, I totally get it.
DeleteWoh oh oh oh oh Woh oh oh oh! Great choice!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! This prompt is a lot of fun.
DeleteStep by step ooh baby I'm going get you in my world! Step one great choice!
ReplyDeleteThey were really easy on the eyes, but I can hardly remember any of their songs. I guess I fail as a true fan.
Deleteomg hahaha you love joey hahaha awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think I repressed that for about 20 years.
DeleteWell one never knows unless one is given the opportunity to jump his bones. Let's go with that, k :) You've given all of us over 40 something to think we could have accomplished given the chance! Booya!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure all our crush has to do is meet us and they will fall totally head over heels in love with us. Not a doubt in my mind that is all it would take.
DeleteThe thing is ... he's still cute NOW! How many teen idols can actually make that claim? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
He IS still kind of cute, but now he has a wife and 3 kids and I'm not a home-wrecker so my options have been seriously diminished.
DeleteI was a HUGE Joey McIntyre obsessed fan! I had erasers, pillow cases, shoelaces, soap. Totally stalker worthy!
ReplyDeleteYou win. I think I had some free posters on my wall and I once went to a concert (with my mom sitting in the audience next to me).
DeleteLol... I remember every lyric, oh and the posters I glued mine to the back of my door. They were worth the trouble I got into :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I would not handle it well if one of my kids glued stuff to their wall or door. I bet you'll be more understanding when one of your kids does that.
DeleteI love it! Yes, isn't it funny? When Shaun Cassidy married a Playboy bunny, I cried and cried at the thought that he'd been so cruelly taken off the market as if I'd been second choice if she were suddenly unavailable. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou WOULD have been his second choice. I'm SURE of it! (As sure as I am that had Joey and I just met...)
DeleteYes we pick the one that it would be most feasible to date.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering right now what my odds are with Heidi Klum now that she is on the market again. ;)
Here's the plan: work on your mad sewing skills, make it onto Project Runway, and get a kiss from her. I'm sure once she gives you a sweet kiss on the cheek she won't be able to resist you. See? It's that easy.
DeleteThats so funny! I just wrote about Joe. Funny note.. Im still obsessed! hehe.
ReplyDeleteSince you're still obsessed, you'll have to tell me, what is Joey up to these days?
DeleteJoey was my favorite too! Not sure if it was because younger like me or if it was our chance meeting at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteYou met him at the grocery store? I would have freaked! I need to hear this story some day. Do I smell a blog post?
DeleteI was so in love with Jordan! I had a giant poster of him shirtless on my bedroom wall. I was ten. I don't know what my mother was thinking...
ReplyDeleteI have to say my daughter will earn at least a sideways glance if she has a poster of a half naked man on her walls at age ten. My sister loved Jordan and I'm not into fighting with her over guys so he was off limits.
DeleteI'm shocked it didn't work out--Joey's loss, right? :)
ReplyDeleteJoey doesn't even know how good he could have had it! ;-)
